This car underwent a full bodyoff restoration in 2010 by Long Island Collector Car Garage. The car started as a stock 327/auto, and was transformed completely to what you see today. The body of the car was stripped to its bare fiberglas, and refinished in its orginial metallic nassau blue. The stock chassis was replaced by a custom rolling frame from Street Shop Inc. The chassis is fitted with QA1 coil over suspension on all 4 corners, as well as custom aluminum drive shaft & half shafts. The chassis is also set up with C4 suspension including upper and lower control arms, wishbones, brake calipers and rotors, and rearend as well. The car is fitted with American Racing chrome torque thrust wheels as well. The car has been driven only a mere 942 miles since restoration!
The heart of this rocket ship is a GM crate LS7!! The engine is custom tuned to 575 hp, with custom ceramic coated hedders, leading into side pipe exhaust. The stock dry sump system, ecu, throttle by wire and electrical harness were also retrofitted into the car, as well as a diagnostic obd II port. The engine is backed by a GM LS7 hydraulic clutch and new Tremec TKO 600 5 speed transmission. The car is also fitted with a custom aluminum radiator and retrofitted air conditioning system.
The interior and all trim pieces are brand new, as well as the white leather seats, cushions, carpets and white vinyl top. All chrome trim is new or replated, and the dash and center console are new as well. All original guages were retrofitted to work electronically with the engine as well.
